INFORMATION FOR REGISTRATION
(Spring 2010 semester)

1. Date of Registration: between February 25 and 26, 2010 (Time: 8:30-11:30 and 13:30-16:30)

3. You should bring: your passport, Acceptance Letter, JW202 (visa notice), ORIGINAL COPIES of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners & any and every test report you have received from a national or public hospital (exempted for those who are to study for less than six months), original copy and photocopy of Registration Form of Temporary Residence, passport photos (if necessary) and fees (if applicable). 

4. Registration Procedures:
  1) Fill out a Registration Form and buy the insurance * (at Rm. 210):
     Insurance premium:600 RMB / year, 300 RMB / half year.
  2) Pay tuition and fees (at Rm. 208):
  3) Present your Acceptance Letter, JW202, original copy and photocopy of Registration Form of Temporary Residence, voucher of insurance and      photos (at Rm. 202);
  4) Submit your passport for inspection (at Rm. 202);
  5) Pick up your student ID (at Rm. 202);
  6) If you intend to live off campus, submit a written permission of your guarantor, a house lease, a completed Registration Form of International Students Living Off Campus which can be downloaded at http://oisa.shisu.edu.cn/.

5. Accommodation (Unit: RMB yuan):
  Pay the accommodation fee by semester to your living place when you check it in. The payment will not be refunded if you leave during the semester. Your living place and accommodation fee will be:
  - SISU Guesthouse (International Education Center) (Address: 189 Xitiyuhui Road, Shanghai 200083; Tel: 35054500): □ 65 RMB per day; □ 110 RMB per day; □ 130 RMB per day
  - SISU Hotel (Address: 555 Chifeng Road, Shanghai, 200083; Tel: 65318882): □ 65 RMB per day; □ 130 RMB per day
  - Foreign Experts’ Building (Address: 121 Guangling Road (No.1), Shanghai 200083; Tel: 65423070): □ 50 RMB per day; □ 85 RMB per day

6. Points for Attention:
  1) The public transportation between Pudong International Airport and SISU is confusing and slow, so a taxi is advised which takes about 50 minutes and costs about 160 yuan RMB to reach SISU. 
  2) Make your way directly to the living place first and then come to our Office for registration.
  3) Tuition and fees should be paid in RMB cash. The tuition, management fee and teaching material fee may be paid either by year or by semester, but be aware that your residence permit will reflect how far your payment has covered. If you pay for one semester, a new resident permit can be applied after your second payment.

*Note:
   According to concerned regulations promulgated by China’s Ministry of Education, since the autumn semester of the academic year 2008-2009, all the international students who will study in the university for one semester or a longer period are obliged to buy the comprehensive insurance for people coming to China, otherwise one’s registration will be considered uncompleted.

There’s a library on campus. If a student wants to do reading, he shall apply for a Reader’s Card with his student ID; if to borrow books, he shall apply for a Library Card with his student ID.
